We specialize in high-accuracy, tight-tolerance components for industries including aerospace, medical, and optics. We are currently seeking a seasoned CNC Operator/Programmer with a strong background in Mastercam, probing systems, and dark shop (lights-out) machining. This is not an entry-level position — we are hiring a proven professional who can take ownership of high-precision jobs from setup through execution. ________________________________________ Position Overview This role is ideal for a self-motivated, experienced CNC professional who can independently program, set up, and run production parts while monitoring process efficiency and part quality. You will be responsible for supporting continuous improvement efforts, managing unattended (lights-out) machining cycles, and working closely with production and quality teams. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Create and edit toolpaths using Mastercam (2D/3D, multi-axis) Set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers Utilize Renishaw probing systems for automated part and tool setting Monitor and manage dark shop production with reliability-focused programming Troubleshoot machining and quality issues with minimal oversight Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and indicators Maintain accurate setup documentation and support process improvements ________________________________________What We're Looking For 6+ years of CNC machining experience in a production environment Advanced knowledge of Mastercam programming Hands-on experience with Renishaw probing systems Familiarity with Fanuc controls, particularly on 4th Axis Horizontal Matsuura or Kitamura platforms Strong understanding of precision machining, tight tolerances, and material behavior Ability to lead full setups and manage machining jobs with minimal supervision Proven experience in lights-out (dark shop) machining operations Strong communication and problem-solving skills ________________________________________ Benefits & CompensationArotek offers a supportive work environment where skilled professionals are valued and rewarded.
