Machinist - Precision Manufacturing /
Aerospace Location:
Arlington or Monroe, WA Shift:
Day Shift, Swing, or Weekend Pay:
$21-38+/hr, DOE Position Overview Step into a hands-on role where precision meets innovation. As a Machinist, you'll transform raw materials into high-performance components used in advanced aerospace and mechanical systems. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, problem-solving, and working with both CNC and manual equipment in a high-quality production environment. Key Responsibilities Machine precision parts using lathes, mills, grinders, and other shop equipment Interpret blueprints and engineering specifications to plan setups and machining sequences Set up and operate manual and CNC machines, including Okuma and Fanuc controls Hold tight tolerances while maintaining quality and efficiency standards Measure, inspect, and verify parts using precision measuring instruments Perform calculations for feeds, speeds, tooling, and dimensions Assemble and fit components into mechanical systems when required Support prototype and R D builds, contributing to new product development Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste Maximize machine uptime and productivity through proper setup and operation Collaborate with operations and quality teams to continuously improve processes Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED 3+ years of machining experience Hands-on experience with CNC machines, setups, and tool changes Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles Strong math skills and attention to detail Experience with or ability to learn multi-channel or multi-spindle lathes Familiarity with Okuma and/or Fanuc controls Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes Preferred Skills CNC programming or editing experience (G-code / M-code) Aerospace machining experience Vocational training or machining certification Experience across multiple machines such as mills, lathes, and drill presses Exposure to machine maintenance or repair Cross-training across different processes and equipment Work Environment Precision aerospace machine shop with advanced CNC and manual equipment Fast-paced, high-quality production setting Strong focus on safety, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement Hands-on role with opportunities to expand skills across multiple machines What We Offer Quarterly performance bonuses 80 hours of PTO plus 10 paid holidays Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with long-term growth opportunities Exposure to advanced aerospace manufacturing technology Team-oriented culture focused on development and continuous improvement This is a great opportunity for a machinist who wants to grow their skillset, work with advanced equipment, and build a long-term career in aerospace manufacturing. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodinville, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $37.00/hr.
