Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for setting up and running CNC machines, ensuring precision and quality in all machined components. This role offers an opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, including CNC lathes and milling machines, utilizing a variety of measurement tools and technical skills. The successful applicant will contribute to our commitment to manufacturing excellence, utilizing their expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge to produce high-quality parts efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities Operate CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines, primarily Fanuc-controlled systems Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate machining processes Set up tooling, fixtures, and tooling offsets; perform tool changes as needed for different jobs Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime Conduct quality checks throughout the machining process to ensure parts meet specifications Qualifications Proven experience with CNC programming and operation, especially with Fanuc controls Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical drawings Familiarity with precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges Ability to work with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in machining tasks Experience working with CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment Knowledge in CAD and CAM is a plus Experience around Horizontal Boring Mills is a plus Ability to operate forklifts is a plus This position is integral to maintaining high standards of quality in our manufacturing operations. Pay:
