Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Machine Builder to join a growing manufacturing team in Germantown, WI. This is a hands-on opportunity to build custom industrial machinery from the ground up in a supportive, laid-back shop environment where people work hard, enjoy what they do, and have a good time doing it. You'll spend approximately 80% of your time on mechanical assembly and 20% on electrical work , working with everything from bearings, shafts, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, and pulleys to motors, sensors, and basic machine controls. What You'll Do Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics Build and assemble industrial machinery and automated equipment Assemble and align drive systems, gears, shafts, chains, sprockets, belts, and pulleys Wire and terminate motors, sensors, control panels, and basic machine controls Drill, tap, ream, cut, and modify components as needed Use hand tools, power tools, drill presses, saws, grinders, and other shop equipment Inspect components using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues during assembly Maintain a strong focus on quality and safe work practices What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in machine building, industrial equipment assembly, automation, or similar manufacturing High school diploma or GED Ability to independently read mechanical blueprints Experience assembling mechanical components and drive systems Ability to read electrical schematics and perform basic wiring/terminations Comfortable using hand and power tools Experience with drilling, tapping, reaming, and component modification Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
