Our expanding manufacturing facility in Germantown, WI, is seeking a skilled Machine Builder to join our crew. This role offers a practical, hands-on experience constructing bespoke industrial equipment within a relaxed, collaborative shop culture where team members take pride in their craft and enjoy a positive atmosphere. Your daily tasks will be split between mechanical assembly and electrical integration, with roughly 80% of your focus on mechanical tasks and 20% on electrical duties . You will handle a variety of components, including shafts, gearboxes, bearings, belts, pulleys, chains, sprockets, motors, and sensors. Core Responsibilities Analyze and utilize mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams for project execution Construct and integrate industrial-grade machinery and automated systems Ensure optimal performance by aligning drive systems, shafts, gears, pulleys, and chains Support system functionality by wiring motors, sensors, and control panels Modify components through drilling, tapping, reaming, and cutting to meet project specifications Operate various shop machinery including saws, grinders, drill presses, and hand tools Verify component precision using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and tape measures Help ensure project timelines by resolving mechanical and electrical challenges during the build process Promote a culture of excellence by maintaining high quality and safety standards Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years in industrial assembly, automation, or custom machine building Completion of high school or equivalent education Proficiency in interpreting mechanical blueprints without supervision Proven background in the assembly of mechanical drive systems Competence in reading electrical schematics and executing basic wiring Practical experience operating standard hand and power tools Skill in modifying parts via drilling, reaming, and tapping Physical capacity to lift weights up to 50 lbs Possession of a personal set of tools

Preferred Skills:

Experience with conveyors, material handling, packaging systems, shrink-wrap machinery, welding, fabrication, forklift operation, or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
