Job Description

We are a UAW shop that manufactures custom gearboxes for specialized off-road equipment and aero/auto test stands. We currently have two entry level machining openings in ID/OD Grinding and Mill Machining. We are a low-volume, high-mix shop, so set-up experience is preferred. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will utilize your core skills in blueprint reading, machining, and precision measuring instruments to ensure quality output. Orientation/Training will be done on 1st shift; position will more than likely then move to 2nd shift. This is an entry level position. Perfect for someone just starting their career in CNC Machining. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining. Utilize GD&T principles to maintain quality and precision in machining processes. Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools, ensuring optimal performance. Measure and inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes. Qualifications At least 6 months machining experience and/or classroom training in CNC Machining. Working knowledge of inspection equipment/gages. Strong shop math skills including decimals and fractions. Familiarity with blueprints a plus. •New... $4.00/hr premium for 2nd Shift and Medical Insurance eligibility on day of hire. Cotta typically doesn't hire at the top of the pay range. Factors that will increase this initial wage will include knowledge, experience and education. Ability to earn up to $1.50/hr in "step" increases throughout the first year of employment. Opportunity to advance to Level A in 18 months.

$19.00 - $28.00 per hour
