In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of precision machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure that production standards are met with accuracy and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technologies, including CNC lathes and milling machines, while contributing to innovative manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Operate and Set-Up CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications Program CNC machines using CAM programming software and interpret G-code instructions to ensure accurate machining processes Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and schematics to determine machining requirements Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for precise measurements Perform routine maintenance on machinery, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling to assemble components or perform repairs as needed Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality in production workflows Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc or similar controls Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAM programming software Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T specifications Mechanical aptitude with understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding techniques Familiarity with precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus but not required Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices to promote continuous improvement in production processes Join our team as a Machinist where your technical skills will drive innovative manufacturing solutions.
