At Jarp Industries, a leader in custom hydraulic solutions, we are seeking a meticulous and experienced CNC Machinist to join our skilled labor team. This role involves precise programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic, or other materials. Our ideal candidate is not only technically proficient but also shares our passion for innovation and quality, enhancing our products and services provided to OEMs across North America. As a CNC Machinist, you will be crucial in upholding our standards of engineering excellence and craftsmanship in creating components that meet complex specifications. Responsibilities Programming CNC machines based on the technical drawings and operational plans. Setting up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, and stops. Ensuring that all machines and tools are maintained and in good working order, detecting malfunctions through routine testing. Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models, and adjusting machine cutting paths. Checking produced parts with precision tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to verify measurements and alignments meet specifications. Utilize knowledge of metal properties and other material characteristics to influence machine operations. Required Skills Proficient in CAD/CAM software Strong understanding of metal properties and machining processes Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings Keen attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of mathematical concepts
