(BCT) leads the market in shot blast innovation. Our growth is powered by people who turn complex prints into precision parts—safely, efficiently, and with pride. A day in this role You grab a coffee in our West Allis facility—fresh from a $2M modernization—then head to your cell. You review the print, rough out a setup strategy, and design simple fixtures to run parts complete. You post code from Mastercam (and know when longhand M and G code is faster), touch off tools, dial in work offsets, and verify first-article integrity with precision metrology. Throughout the run, you tune feeds and speeds, swap tooling, log maintenance needs, and keep the machine geometry tight. Before handing the job to inspection, you confirm conformance to spec—every time. What you'll do Own complete setups on CNC lathes and mills (2-5+ axis), taking parts from print to inspection-ready. Read, write, and edit M and G code; program with Mastercam and longhand as needed. Design/build fixturing and select tooling to optimize quality, cycle time, and repeatability. Measure and validate critical features using precision hand metrology and gauges; apply GD&T. Calculate feeds/speeds, depths of cut, and tool paths; adjust on the fly for best results. Mount, align, and secure workpieces, tools, and attachments with exacting accuracy. Perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and support machine repair and spindle health. Stop machines for changeovers, tooling swaps, and sequencing updates to protect quality. Support BCT culture and core values; help teammates and model craftsmanship.
