Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sawyer to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for precisely cutting and shaping wood and other materials to specifications, ensuring high-quality components for construction, millwork, or woodworking projects. Your expertise will help streamline production processes and contribute to the creation of durable, accurate, and visually appealing products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced tools and machinery in a dynamic environment dedicated to craftsmanship and efficiency. Duties Operate saws, including panel saws, miter saws, and circular saws, to cut wood and composite materials accurately according to project specifications Use hand tools such as chisels, clamps, and measuring tapes to assist in material preparation and finishing tasks Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints using AutoCAD or similar CAD software to determine cutting requirements Set up and calibrate CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines for precise machining operations Measure materials with calipers and other precision tools to ensure exact dimensions before cutting or assembly Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times Assist in loading and unloading materials using forklifts or other warehouse equipment when necessary Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing, machining, woodworking, or carpentry environments Proficiency with AutoCAD for reading technical drawings and planning cuts Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively, including saws, drills, sanders, and hand tools Familiarity with CNC programming concepts and operation is highly desirable Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts within a warehouse setting preferred Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement skills using calipers and other precision instruments Knowledge of construction standards and millwork processes is a plus Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Join us as a Sawyer if you're passionate about craftsmanship, eager to develop your skills with advanced machinery, and ready to contribute to high-quality manufacturing projects.
