Responsibilities for Machine Operator Consider tools required to cut particular materials Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening Perform other shop related task daily to ensure efficient work flow Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good math skills Must have good problem solving skills. Must have good organizational and planning skills. Must be mechanically inclined. Knowledge of metal shop work. Must have the ability to read blueprints. Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment. Should have a positive and professional attitude Qualifications for Machine Operator Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required Capable of standing for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time
