About the Role As a Sterile Compounding Technician, you will be responsible for preparing sterile pharmaceutical products within a controlled cleanroom environment while adhering to
FDA, USP
, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards. Working alongside pharmacists and fellow technicians, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation of sterile medications while maintaining the highest standards of quality, sterility, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Prepare and compound sterile pharmaceutical products using aseptic technique Perform weighing, mixing, and admixture of sterile medications Work within ISO 7 cleanrooms and ISO 5 workspaces following established procedures Operate and monitor compounding and filling equipment Complete manufacturing records and required documentation accurately Support quality assurance processes and pharmaceutical testing activities Assist with sterilization processes under pharmacist supervision Verify materials and components used in batch compounding Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleanroom cleaning and disinfection procedures Complete batch reconciliation and count verification activities Maintain compliance with FDA regulations, USP , cGMP standards, and company SOPs Participate in aseptic technique evaluations, media fills, and ongoing competency assessments Requirements Active Pharmacy Technician registration in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy Strong aseptic technique and sterile compounding experience Experience compounding sterile preparations such as antibiotics, TPNs, chemotherapy medications, or similar products Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment Strong organizational and documentation skills High School Diploma or GED required Preferred Qualifications 503B sterile compounding experience PTCB Certification Experience working within FDA-regulated, USP , or cGMP environments Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: up to $30.00 per hour depending on experience Health insurance (medical, dental, and vision) Life insurance Supplemental insurance options 401(k) with company matching 80 hours paid time off annually 48 hours paid sick leave annually Closed on all major holidays Stable Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) Opportunity to join a growing organization with long-term career advancement potential Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as required Comfortable working within cleanroom environments and following gowning procedures Strong computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation 20/20 vision (with or without corrective lenses) required for visual inspection of pharmaceutical products If you have sterile compounding experience and are looking for an opportunity to further your career within a quality-driven pharmacy environment, we'd love to hear from you.
