  • $23.96/hr to $34/hr Shift differential

As the DOT FAA Machine Operator, you will LEAD by………. Execute daily operational tasks of the Aerospace production team at the Huntsville site, such as: Slurry preparation utilizing ball mills and/or continuous mill Coating substrates by hand or coating foil by operating machinery to produce catalysts to be used in converters Coining coated foil to produce catalysts cores Corrugating foil to produce substrate foil to be coated Loading cylinders with catalysts (disc substrates and/or coined foil substrates) Kitting components for process orders and creating associated paperwork, routers, BOMs Washing converters for service to be tested Performing recore/upcore cutting tasks on customer-owned units Performing pressure tests on finished converters per acceptance test plans as required by customer Utilize work instructions and standard operating procedures to manufacture ozone/VOC converters Navigate to specification documents and translate to daily production steps Troubleshoot production equipment, fixtures, and machinery related to slurry, foil, coating, or loading assets Clean and maintain strong housekeeping in all operating areas Utilize batch tickets and/or lot packages to produce based on part number Utilize a forklift to maneuver parts/materials as required Don required PPE per task and advocate for strong EHS protocols Handle chemicals, powders, and additives as required for various production tasks Consult, supervise, engineering, etc as non-routine issues arise This position is a MM09 and will report to the Production Supervisor. Your elements for success…… Must have a High School Diploma/GED Must have at least 1+ year experience in operations, manufacturing, and/or operating automated machinery Must have familiarity with utilizing WIs/SOPs to ensure product meets all quality requirements Must have 3+ years in a manufacturing environment with troubleshooting experience Must be willing to perform manual manufacturing tasks (hand-dip, loading, utility, etc.) Must be willing to execute production tasks in slurry, coating, foil production, MRO, utility, and shipping areas for the Aerospace department Must be able to work overtime as required for business-critical items Must be able to stand for several hours in a shift to complete production tasks or operate equipment Preferred to be member of the
