Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented C-Class Clad Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining clad machinery to produce high-quality, precision metal components. As a C-Class Clad Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, running, and monitoring the machine, ensuring the correct operation of the cladding process, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Operate and monitor cladding machines to apply cladding materials to metal substrates. Ensure machines are set up according to job specifications and adjust settings as necessary for optimal operation.
Cladding Process:
Perform cladding operations according to blueprints, work orders, and established processes, ensuring high-quality finished products with proper adhesion and material thickness.
Equipment Setup & Maintenance:
Set up cladding machines, including loading materials, adjusting machine parameters, and selecting proper tooling. Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot minor issues to minimize downtime.
Quality Control:
Inspect cladded components for quality, ensuring that the cladding is applied evenly and meets all required tolerances. Use precision measuring tools to check the dimensions and quality of the cladding process.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols in the operation of machinery.
Material Handling:
Load and unload materials from the machine, ensuring the correct material is used for each job and handling materials safely to avoid damage.
Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate records of machine settings, materials used, production quantities, and any machine issues or maintenance performed during the shift.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other machine operators, quality control personnel, and supervisors to ensure smooth production operations and to meet production deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training in machine operation, metalworking, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience operating cladding or similar machinery is preferred but not required. Experience with machine setup, operation, and maintenance in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Skills:
Ability to operate cladding machines and adjust machine parameters for optimal results. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards. Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve minor machine issues. Understanding safety protocols and the use of PPE. Ability to interpret technical drawings and work orders to determine cladding requirements. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, and work for extended periods in a manufacturing environment. Comfortable working in a noisy, hot, and industrial setting.
