Job Description
Operates rubber extrusion equipment to apply rubber coverings to hose while maintaining required production and quality specifications. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED. Ability to set up and operate rubber extrusion equipment. Ability to follow extruder specification sheets and production instructions. Ability to complete required production documentation. Ability to perform tooling and mandrel changes. Ability to inspect extruded product for concentricity and specification compliance. Preferred Skills 1+ year of manufacturing experience. Experience operating rubber extrusion equipment. Experience with hose manufacturing or rubber processing. Experience performing pin, die, stock, mandrel, and vacuum cone changes. Experience with in-process quality inspection. Job Responsibilities Set up and operate rubber extrusion machines used to cover hose with rubber. Perform pin, die, stock, mandrel, and related tooling changes. Install vacuum cones and configure extrusion equipment according to specification sheets. Clean, maintain, and properly store mandrels and tooling after use. Monitor extrusion operations and make required equipment adjustments. Check product concentricity and verify compliance with established quality requirements. Complete production records and required manufacturing documentation. Maintain extrusion equipment and work areas in clean operating condition. Support continuous production operations. Assist with operation of additional equipment and cross-train in other department functions. Follow applicable safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
