Perm Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating production equipment under immediate supervision, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Major Responsibilities:
Operate manual production machinery, such as a wood molder machine and foam press machine (training may be provided for a sheet metal machine) Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to select, position, and secure machinery and materials Load, unload, lift, and move materials and products utilizing lifting equipment when available Complete and maintain all associated electronic processes and paperwork, including barcoding, checklists, stamping, blueprints, shipping/receiving documents, accessory lists, and material scanning Perform pre-shift preventative maintenance Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
Required Skills:
Ability to stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of the workday Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed Lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently, and more than 50 lbs with assistance Use hands to reach, handle, and feel items Visually inspect products for quality Manual dexterity for tool usage Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment Wear all required personal protective equipment
Required Experience & Qualifications:
