Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our team for the 1st shift. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various advanced machines, ensuring optimal performance and quality production. Responsibilities Operate various machines at an advanced level, such as press brakes, saws, drills, turret punches, lasers, or shears, according to standard operating procedures. Set up, program, and calibrate machines for production runs, ensuring configurations meet product specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems. Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains. Perform final quality checks on parts and assemblies to ensure they meet standards and customer specifications. Train and mentor less experienced machine operators on advanced machine operation and troubleshooting techniques. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machines, ensuring equipment is in good working condition. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product designs, production workflows, and equipment performance. Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance, and any corrective actions taken. Follow and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment. Adhere to lean manufacturing guidelines, providing continuous improvement suggestions for enhanced efficiency. Essential Skills Specific laser operator experience on CNC machines. Experience with punch press, press brake, and sheet metal. Expertise in machine programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Strong knowledge of machining techniques, including precision manufacturing and CNC operations. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Strong leadership abilities, with experience training and mentoring junior staff. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification or associate degree in machine operation, engineering, or related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in machine operations, preferably with press brakes, turrets, lasers, and shears. Work Environment Work in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility located in Mesa, Arizona. The position requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required, and manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are essential. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 5 am to 3 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
