Foutz Motorsports has been making off-road great since 1998. We bring race-proven performance DNA to every product we build. From our Mesa, Arizona facility, we design, fabricate, and CNC-machine premium suspension kits, skid plates, bed racks, light mounts, GPS mounts, and accessories for Ford Raptor (all generations), Bronco, Ranger Raptor, Ford F-150, Ram TRX, Ram RHO, and Toyota Tacoma platforms. Every component we ship—from billet aluminum upper control arms machined in-house to long travel cantilever rear suspension kits—is a direct reflection of our obsession with quality, durability, and off-road performance. We're looking for a hands-on leader who shares that obsession. ROLE OVERVIEW
The Product Assembly Lead oversees the day-to-day assembly operations at our Mesa production facility, ensuring that every kit that leaves our doors meets the Foutz Motorsports standard. You will be hands-on leading a team of assemblers by your example, coordinate workflow with fabrication and CNC machining and finishing, and serve as the quality gatekeeper for our full catalog of off-road suspension, protection, and accessory products. Your team will do the final assembly and packaging of all of our high-quality products. Take pride in being able to assemble any parts in our catalog. Lead and train your team in best practices of assembly and quality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, train, and mentor assembly team members across all product lines including suspension kits (mid-travel, long-travel, lift & leveling collars, bump stops), skid plates, bed racks, light mounts, and GPS mounts Manage daily assembly schedules to meet production targets and order fulfillment timelines Ensure correct assembly of complex multi-component kits—including billet aluminum arms, rod ends and bearings, 17-4 stainless steel spacers, fabricated lower A-arms, limit strap systems, and bypass shock components Coordinate with outside vendors for finishing of products such as powder coating and anodizing of CNC aluminum parts Properly laser etch completed parts with correct branding and logos as part of the assembly process Finalize and pack all products so they are ready to ship and stock in inventory Perform and oversee quality control inspections at each assembly stage; identify and resolve fitment, torque, or component defects before products are packaged Work directly with the CNC machining and fabrication teams to flag dimensional issues or component discrepancies early in the build cycle Maintain accurate inventory counts for assembly components; coordinate restocking with purchasing to prevent line stoppages Develop, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assembly processes Enforce and promote a clean, organized, and safe shop environment consistent with our quality standards Support product launch readiness by assembling and verifying prototype or pre-production kits prior to release Assist in preparing and reviewing product install guides and assembly documentation for accuracy REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience in an automotive, motorsports, fabrication, or manufacturing environment Demonstrated hands on experience leading or supervising an assembly team Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, exploded-view diagrams, and part specifications Proficiency with hand tools, torque wrenches, and assembly fixtures; comfort with precision measurements Solid understanding of suspension systems, hardware, and fastener standards (grade, torque specs, thread types) Strong attention to detail and a commitment to zero-defect output Excellent communication skills; ability to motivate and hold a team accountable PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Direct experience with Ford Raptor, Bronco, Ram TRX/RHO, or high-performance truck platforms Familiarity with CNC-machined billet components, spherical bearings, and race-oriented suspension hardware Background in desert racing, off-road racing, or Aerospace Experience with QuickBooks, Odoo ERP or inventory management systems Automotive mechanical installation experience - installing suspension kits and accessories WHAT WE OFFER
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience starting at $27 per hour and up with opportunity for advancement Hours are normally 7:30 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays. Full-time on location at our main climate-controlled facility in Mesa Arizona.
