Full Job Description Job Description:
Fab Associate-Cutting and threading pipe, bundling pipe. Performing quality control on completed work. •Looking for candidates who will actually arrive to the interview and complete the onboarding process.
Must haves:
6 months recent machine operation Ability to use and understand tape measures. Use of Gauges for quality checks Nice to have 3-6 months Sit down forklift
Responsibilities:
Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard. Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain organized work supplies. Follow safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe. Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines and Ferguson procedures. Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication. Measure, record, and add random pipe lengths accurately. Measure and cut pipe using band saws or torches. Thread pipe using Landis machines. Inspect and maintain forklift equipment.
Qualifications:
Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Knowledge of safe work practices in the pipe yard. Experience with machinery for cutting and threading pipe (training provided). Results-focused in a fast-paced environment. Capable of reading a tape measure accurately.
Additional Considerations:
Candidates with backgrounds in auto mechanics, machinery maintenance, automotive lines, diesel, or farm equipment are encouraged to apply.
