Thursday-Saturday, 4:00 PM-2:30 AM We are seeking experienced Senior Structures Technicians to support spacecraft/airframe manufacturing operations in Mesa, AZ. This role will focus on composite and metallic airframe assembly, bonding, drilling, sealing, fastener installation, trimming/fitting components, and supporting complex aerospace manufacturing processes. Candidates must have at least 3 years of aircraft fabrication and assembly experience. Composite experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assemble composite parts and assemblies of varying complexity and size Set up assembly fixturing and support airframe production operations Drill a variety of hole sizes in composite and metallic structures, including stack-ups of dissimilar materials Perform fay sealing, trimming, fitting, and fastener installation Work hands-on with fasteners including Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, Composi-Lok, and other aircraft fasteners Use shop tools and machinery such as drills, die grinders, calipers, hand tools, and power tools Read and follow manufacturing work instructions, drawings, blueprints, and digital models Support troubleshooting, repair, maintenance recommendations, and production issue resolution Ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy of installations and assemblies Follow all safety, FOD prevention, quality, documentation, and regulatory procedures Work collaboratively with technicians, team leads, engineering, and production teams
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years of aircraft fabrication and assembly experience Hands-on aircraft manufacturing experience with composite and/or metallic airframes Experience with aircraft fasteners and proper installation/removal techniques Knowledge of proper drill speeds, feeds, hole angularity, and hole tolerance requirements Ability to use specialized tools and equipment to assemble or repair aircraft structures Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and/or digital models Ability to use computer applications to follow manufacturing work instructions Strong safety mindset and FOD awareness
Preferred Qualifications:
Composite airframe experience Spacecraft, aircraft, or advanced aerospace manufacturing experience A&P training or aircraft maintenance background Experience with hand drills, power feed drills, Jiffy/E-Tech tools, Seti-Tec, or similar tools Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Experience providing quality repairs and troubleshooting manufacturing issues
