Precision Material Cutter

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Precision Material Cutter to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for cutting high-quality precision components using clicker press equipment and cutting dies. Materials include leather, felt, cardboard, and other specialty materials, for which consistency, inspection, and efficient material use are essential. The ideal candidate works quickly but carefully with varying material characteristics and maintains high-quality standards throughout production. Essential Responsibilities Set up and operate clicker press and related cutting equipment Accurately position cutting dies and materials for optimal yield and part consistency Work quickly with a consistent production pace. Inspect raw materials for thickness variation, surface defects, grain direction, finish quality, or other inconsistencies before cutting Cut precision parts according to work orders, specifications, and quality standards Monitor cut quality, dimensions, and material usage throughout production runs Adjust alignment, pressure, and material positioning as needed Sort, count, and package finished parts Record production quantities Identify tooling wear, machine issues, or quality concerns and report them promptly Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area Assist with material preparation, inventory organization, and other production tasks as needed Qualifications Manufacturing, fabrication, or machine operation experience preferred Experience with die cutting, clicker presses, textiles, leather, rubber, paper, or precision material handling is a plus Strong attention to detail and quality Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic math and measuring skills Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently while maintaining production standards

Pay:

$15.15 - $17.25 per hour
