Valid Driver's License The Opportunity You will serve as a pivotal lead in the installation of custom, premium shade sails and tensioned fabric products for high-end clients. This role empowers you to manage on-site logistics and supervise small crews while delivering superior craftsmanship. You will join a hard-working, collaborative team where your leadership directly shapes the comfort and aesthetics of outdoor spaces. How You Will Make an Impact Join, supervise, and direct teams of 1-4 employees to ensure precise installation of custom shade structures. Coordinate with customers, sales staff, project management, and subcontractors to maintain clear project scheduling and status updates. Execute complex field tasks including excavation, steel fabrication, and small-batch concrete pouring. Manage the safe operation of light and medium-duty company vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment. Interpret project blueprints and construction documents to ensure every installation meets exact design specifications. Maintain a safe and organized work environment in strict accordance with OSHA safety regulations. Troubleshoot real-time site challenges to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Required Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in the construction industry with a focus on field installations. Ability to operate hand tools, heavy equipment, and perform steel fabrication tasks such as assembly and drilling. Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and work independently on specialized projects. Possession of a clean driving record and reliable personal transportation to reach the shop. Physical capability to handle heavy materials and perform manual excavation when required. Absolute willingness to travel for short out-of-town assignments (1-4 days) several times per year. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Advanced experience operating heavy machinery for excavation and material handling. Previous leadership experience specifically within specialty contracting or tensioned fabric sectors. Strong technical proficiency in site-mixing concrete and coordinating with pump truck services.
