We are building a pharmacy operation rooted in quality, safety, service, and the ability to support providers and patients with customized medication solutions. As we complete build-out and licensing, we are seeking a hands-on Compounding Technician / Trainer to support daily compounding operations while helping train and develop the pharmacy team from the ground up. This role will work closely with the Pharmacist-in-Charge and future operations leadership to help establish strong compounding practices, consistent training, accurate documentation, and a positive culture focused on quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Position Summary The Compounding Technician / Trainer is a hands-on pharmacy technician role responsible for supporting daily sterile, nonsterile, and hazardous drug compounding activities while also helping train and develop compounding technicians. This position reports to the Pharmacist-in-Charge and serves as a peer trainer and technical resource. As HeliosRx completes build-out, licensing, and operational launch, this role will help establish strong compounding workflows, training practices, documentation habits, and quality expectations from the ground up. The ideal candidate is an experienced certified pharmacy technician with strong 503A compounding experience, a quality-focused mindset, and the ability to teach others in a clear, patient, and practical manner. This role is expected to model excellent compounding technique, accurate documentation, safe work practices, and adherence to SOPs while helping build a positive culture rooted in quality, safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Regulatory and Compliance Perform sterile, nonsterile, and hazardous drug compounding activities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, USP standards, internal SOPs, and pharmacy policies. Support compliance with

, applicable state board of pharmacy requirements, DEA requirements, and internal procedures. Complete compounding documentation accurately, contemporaneously, and in accordance with SOPs. Support proper completion of compounding records, cleaning logs, equipment logs, temperature logs, room logs, inventory documentation, and other required operational records. Help ensure compounding areas, equipment, supplies, and documentation remain clean, organized, complete, and inspection-ready. Identify and promptly escalate documentation errors, quality concerns, safety concerns, process gaps, training gaps, or deviations to the PIC, Compounding Supervisor, or pharmacist on duty. Reinforce SOP adherence, proper documentation practices, hygiene, garbing, cleaning, safety expectations, and quality standards during training and daily work. Support a culture of compliance, accuracy, safety, and quality ownership. Compounding and Operations Perform daily sterile, nonsterile, and hazardous drug compounding activities as assigned. Compound dosage forms including capsules, tablets, suspensions, creams, ointments, sterile preparations, injectables, ophthalmics, and other preparations as applicable. Execute approved formulas and procedures accurately and consistently. Perform calculations, ingredient staging, weighing, measuring, mixing, in-process checks, labeling support, cleaning, and documentation activities as assigned. Operate and clean compounding equipment, hoods, containment devices, and controlled work areas in accordance with SOPs. Support proper material handling, component readiness, inventory organization, and supply preparation as needed. Assist with daily workflow execution and help maintain an efficient, organized, and safe compounding environment. Support startup activities, including workflow development, process refinement, training setup, and operational readiness. Help identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce errors, improve training consistency, and support scalable compounding operations. Training and Team Development Serve as a peer trainer and technical resource for new and existing compounding technicians. Assist with onboarding and training related to sterile, nonsterile, and hazardous drug compounding activities. Train technicians on hygiene, garbing, cleaning, documentation, calculations, equipment use, compounding technique, material handling, workflow expectations, and SOP adherence. Help develop, organize, and improve training checklists, competency documentation, workflow guides, and job aids. Assist with initial, annual, and remedial competency activities under the direction of the PIC, Compounding Supervisor, or designated pharmacist. Help ensure required training tasks and competency documentation are completed as assigned. Provide real-time coaching and feedback when technique, documentation, workflow, or safety gaps are observed. Escalate repeated performance, training, quality, or compliance concerns to the PIC or Compounding Supervisor. Model professional behavior, strong attention to detail, teamwork, accountability, and a positive training approach. Help create a supportive training environment where technicians can learn, ask questions, improve, and perform confidently. Required Qualifications Certified Pharmacy Technician in good standing. Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification. Minimum of 2 years of compounding pharmacy experience. Experience with sterile and/or nonsterile compounding operations. Strong understanding of compounding documentation, calculations, weighing, measuring, cleaning, and basic quality expectations. Ability to follow SOPs, formulas, batch records, training instructions, and pharmacy procedures with a high degree of accuracy. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and compliance. Ability to train, coach, and support peers in a professional and constructive manner. Ability to work hands-on in a startup environment with evolving workflows and changing priorities. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to learn and work within pharmacy management systems, inventory systems, compounding software, quality systems, and other operational platforms. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience training, mentoring, or onboarding pharmacy technicians. Sterile compounding experience. Hazardous drug compounding experience. Experience with USP , USP

Experience supporting competency assessments, training documentation, workflow guides, or SOP-based training. Experience in a startup, growth-stage, or process improvement-focused pharmacy environment. Lean, continuous improvement, workflow design, or documentation improvement experience. Schedule and Work Environment Hourly position. General schedule is expected to fall between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, though hours may vary based on pharmacy needs, operational growth, production demands, or special projects. This is a hands-on compounding technician role with added training responsibilities. This position does not have direct supervisory authority but is expected to serve as a peer trainer and role model. Work is performed in pharmacy, compounding, warehouse, and controlled-environment settings. Role may require use of PPE, garbing, hood work, hazardous drug precautions, and adherence to strict cleaning, safety, and documentation procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to work in PPE and required garb for sterile, nonsterile, and hazardous drug compounding areas. Ability to perform work in hoods, containment devices, cleanroom environments, and other controlled pharmacy spaces.
