They will be working with and training seasonal employees, have automated assembly machine maintenance experience, including performing basic repairs and PM. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well under pressure. This position works to ensure all production needs are met. Prior forklift experience is a plus.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, corrects routine problems and replaces defective machine components (electrical, mechanical or pneumatic, ultrasonic, laser), but refers programming changes to an Engineer. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all assembly machines and equipment. Responsible for safety and housekeeping for the respective work areas Troubleshoot vision camera systems. Assist Engineers to perform capability studies to establish process parameters. Assist Production Manager and Supervisor to achieve day-to-day safety, quality and efficiency goal Perform quality checks and production reporting in PeopleSoft and other Rain Bird systems Capable of performing all Assembler and Production Machine Operator roles and requirements Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as kaizens and workshops Train production operators. Under limited supervision, set up and operate major automated assembly and packaging machines. Complete routine machine setup, changeovers, parts loading.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma 3+ years of high-volume manufacturing experience with automated machines Proven skills to set-up, troubleshoot and startup automated assembly and packaging machines Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Effective communication skills Ability to perform weekly PM on equipment Ability to effectively understand and work with PLC I/O - interfaces Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions Ability to utilize Computer software (Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft/ERP, Data entry etc.) Ability to train others, excellent team player.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
