Machine Shop Operator Burbank, CA Full time - Temp to hire Monday through Friday - 5am to 1:30am $20.80hr to $25.90hr depending on experience. High end manufacturing company producing precision, quality aerospace fasteners is looking for a Machine Shop Operator to join their team in Burbank.

Summary :

The Machine Shop Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a wide range of machine shop equipment to manufacture precision aerospace fasteners. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate various machine shop equipment to produce precision parts. Operate and maintain lathes and milling machines. Set up and operate the following equipment: Economy pointer Slotters Air chamber machines Fillet roll machines Traub machines Die machines Drill press Auto pin machines Button die and countersink (c-sink) machines Cut-off saws Chop-off presses Ensure all parts meet required specifications and tolerances. Perform routine inspections and adjustments during production runs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a machine shop environment, preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing. Strong knowledge of machine setup and operation across multiple equipment types. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including dial calipers and micrometers. Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) systems and computer usage. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. #ind
