Sandblast Technician & Powder Coat Assistant Summary Assist the lead powder coater in prepping metal parts for powder coating. Material preparation such as sand blasting, cleaning, masking and hanging are the primary responsibilities. In addition you'll help manage the flow of parts from the manufacturing side to powder coating. Responsibilities Prepare parts for sand blasting Sand blasting steel and aluminum parts Keep an eye out for manufacturing defects Rack parts in preparation for powder coating Assist in powder coating Manage racks of parts in and out of the powder coating ovens Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations Ensure quality standards and processes are used Ensure safety guidelines are being met Load and unload parts onto racks Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment Must be able to lift and move objects in 50-75 pound range Must be able to lift, twist, bend and kneel.
