Job Description

HIRING - MACHINE OPERATOR IN CARLSBAD
Keep production moving and quality flowing in a fast‑paced packaging environment. We're looking for a reliable and detail‑oriented Packaging Machine Operator to support daily packaging operations. In this role, you'll operate, troubleshoot, and maintain packaging equipment while ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. If you enjoy hands‑on work, mechanical problem‑solving, and being part of a collaborative production team, this could be a great fit. What You'll Do Load boxes, cans, bottles, kegs, labels, and corrugate into packaging equipment Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot packaging machinery to maintain smooth production flow Perform visual inspections to ensure packaging quality, accuracy, and correct graphics Verify proper coding on bottles, cans, boxes, trays, and kegs Complete quality checks accurately and report defects or process issues Perform machine sanitation, beer line sanitation, and CIP operations Conduct package format changeovers using hand tools Monitor material flow and safely clear jams as needed Communicate returned goods and discrepancies to warehouse personnel Safely operate a forklift to stage, move, load, and unload materials Follow 5S , Lean Manufacturing , and cGMP standards Recommend SOP updates when improvements or corrections are needed Support training of team members as required What You Bring Prior experience operating and troubleshooting machinery, preferably packaging equipment Experience with canning, bottling, or kegging operations strongly preferred Forklift experience preferred (clean driving record required) Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to navigate production systems and accurately enter run data Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills Basic math skills and a solution‑oriented mindset Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely Proficiency in reading and writing English Must be 21 years of age or older to work onsite Additional Qualities We Value Proactive, self‑starter attitude Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced environment Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Why You'll Love Working Here Contract‑to‑hire opportunity with strong potential for long‑term growth Supportive team culture with a focus on collaboration and accountability Upon conversion, enjoy competitive benefits including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Beer benefits Team‑building events, incentives, and access to an employee lounge Work Environment Warehouse setting with large open bay doors and occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures Loud machinery— hearing protection required Fast‑moving, team‑oriented production floor Company culture that values employees, safety, and performance Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Escondido, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
