Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring for an Swiss Screw Machine Operator in La Verne, CA. As a Swiss Screw Machine Operator you will: Job Description Day to Day Responsibilities Set up and operate screw machines (manual or CNC) to produce precision components. Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed rate, and tooling to meet specifications. Load raw materials and monitor machine performance during production. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality standards. Document inspection results and report any deviations. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments. Replace worn or damaged tools and components. Track production output and machine performance. Maintain accurate records of production data and machine maintenance. Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to improve efficiency. This is a full-time opportunity. Monday - Friday 2pm to 10pm (paid lunch) The ideal candidate will have: Required Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a Manufacturing environment Proven programing experience Must know how to read and understand blueprints Excellent reading and comprehension skills Good mathematical skills (basic, algebra etc.) Problem solving Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Manual CNC knowledge of power and manual tools & measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Understanding of maintenance Prior screw machine operator experience preferred
