La Verne, CA Job Details $20 - $22 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Defect detection (quality control) Finished product defect inspection Maintaining an organized workspace Machine operation Dimensional inspection Safety standards in production High school diploma or GED Manufacturing standard operating procedures Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Quality standards in production Industrial equipment Clean workspace maintenance Hand tools Production records Manufacturing company experience Mechanical knowledge Entry level Full Job Description Machine Operator Job Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating machinery, maintaining high-quality production standards, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout the manufacturing process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate and monitor assigned machinery and equipment according to safety and quality standards Perform all checks on parts based on measurement requirements and inform senior staff of any discrepancies. Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency Use micrometers, calipers and height gauge Perform safety and quality checks Deburr completed materiel components and parts Identify and report mechanical issues or malfunctions Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow daily production schedules and meet output goals Document production data, machine settings, and any issues encountered Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Willingness to cross train in various other departments such as our inspection, testing and painting departments Read and interpret drawings and according to requirements accurately interpret and apply fit, tolerance. Properly and respectfully communicate with peers, leads, managers, inspectors Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Basic experience with hand tools Understand and comprehend measurements Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred, but not required Ability to read and interpret technical documents, instructions, or measurements Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to stand, lift, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team This is a second shift position 2:30pm-1:00am Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work in environments with noise, machinery, and varying temperatures The team member is expected to perform repetitive tasks using their hands. Performs other related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs 1) 2:30pm-1am 2) 5am-3:30pmSimilar remote jobs
