% Relieves RO operator, RO extractor and RO filler/forklift operator for breaks and lunches, which includes ability to operate the RO unit, filler machines and forklift 10% Follows approved procedures completing CIP and COP of RO filler and room sanitation 15% Performs other duties as needed or assigned by superior.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Years and Type of Related Experience Required:

Food processing experience in a technically advanced facility

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Interpersonal and Communication:

Ability to function with minimal supervision, including the capacity to learn and follow processing-CIP and sanitation procedures-safety rules and other directives. Ability to speak and write

English Technical and Analytical:

Basic math skills, process equipment problem solving aptitude, mechanical aptitude, ability tolearn RO equipment control panels, extractor control panels and RO filler control panels

Administrative and Operations:

Aptitude for detailed documentation of the process activities including CIP/COP, down time, RO brix, rotation speed, product temperature and drum counts per shift

Physical Demands:

Agile, standing for long periods of time, bending, reaching, lifting 50+ lbs, climbing stairs, ability to work various shifts

Work Environment:

Food plant, high noise levels, subject to cold, hot and humid conditions, wet floors, forklift traffic and exposure to wet and dry cleaning agents. This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Special Equipment Used:

RO extractor, RO unit, tomato chopper, heat exchanger, scale, printer, pallet jack, refrigerated vans, high pressure wash station and hot water station. Pager to be used for after hours, pager must be on at all times, so RO supervisor can get hold of employee if needed to come into work on any shift. Two way radio for internal use only.
