Machine Operator Job Description Join our team as a Machine Operator responsible for operating the rainware roll former and slitter at our shop. You will set up and operate all functions of assigned machines and equipment, making adjustments for various material thicknesses and work order requirements. Your role involves inspecting parts using tools such as tape measures, scales, and calipers, and performing secondary operations as needed. Responsibilities Operate rainware roll former/slitter at the shop. Set up and operate all functions of assigned machines/equipment. Make adjustments to machine settings for various material thicknesses, clamp placements, and work order requirements. Inspect parts using tools such as tape measures, scales, calipers, and various computerized measuring devices. Perform secondary operations, such as cleaning, to manufactured parts as required. Arrange parts as needed for production and place raw stock, partially completed work, and completed jobs in appropriate storage or production areas. Perform basic preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Perform visual safety checks for machine wear, damage to tooling, and correct positioning of safety guards. Assist other machine operators and may assist other departments with warehouse and production work. Follow all safety regulations, keep work area clean and orderly, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Essential Skills Experience in machine operation and manufacturing. Proficiency with general labor, assembly, hand tools, press brake, stamping press, and roll forming. Production experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to stand and reach with hands and arms. Capability to walk, sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift, with assistance, up to 100 pounds. Ability to operate equipment safely. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcclellan, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
