Job Summary This job is in the Plant family (Department) and is responsible for the daily setup, operation and on-time production of defect-free products on one or more CNC laser tube cutting machines. This position will also assist other laser operators with any of their daily duties including area housekeeping, maintenance work and staging of material. Job:
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Function:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES
Perform daily startup and shutdown procedures on CNC tube laser cutting machines. Stage raw materials at each work-center for the day's production. Load and unload machines. Maintain daily dust collector service in assigned area and report equipment deficiencies. Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the scheduling department. Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine recommendations. Facilitate work-order paper flow in accordance with ISO quality standards. Check and package parts in accordance with ISO standards if required. Monitor assist gas level supply requirements for daily production.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, hard-hat, steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothing.
Required Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma preferred. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Demonstrated ability to read drawings. Ability to inspect laser cut parts with precision inspection equipment. Ability to work well as a team member. Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures. Safety conscious behavior. Excellent attendance and reliable transportation Ability to complete the laser operator training and pass the laser safety exam.
Compensation Range:
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $22.00/Hr. - USD $24.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
