Job Description

Job Summary Seeking a Press Operator with sheet metal fabrication experience to cut, bend, and form metal parts using press brakes and related equipment. This role involves reading fabrication drawings, operating machinery safely, and producing accurate, high‑quality components. Key Responsibilities Operate press brake and fabrication equipment to cut, bend, and form metal parts. Set up and adjust machines such as shears, rollers, and lasers. Use hand tools to cut and shape metal components. Read and interpret fabrication drawings and measurements. Work with aluminum and steel using proper fabrication techniques. Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment. Required Skills Experience operating press brakes or similar fabrication machinery. Ability to read fabrication drawings and take accurate measurements. Hands‑on experience cutting, shaping, and forming sheet metal. Skilled with hand and power tools used in metal fabrication. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Preferred Skills Experience assembling metal components (welding, riveting, etc.). Familiarity with inspecting fabricated parts for accuracy. Basic mechanical fabrication skills (drilling, tapping, cutting). Experience in a production or fabrication shop environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Oakland, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
