• Job Description
• We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. The role involves operating and maintaining packaging equipment to deliver high-quality products to our customers. The position requires a strong attention to detail, compliance with safety guidelines, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
• Responsibilities
• + Learn and operate equipment such as the Velteko, Matrix, label printer, blending/grinding machines.

+ Operate manual packaging equipment including heat sealing machines, foot powered bagging machines, coffee mixers, coffee grinders, and both manual and electric pallet jacks.

+ Enter lot codes on work orders.

+ Clean packaging machinery and work areas daily, document on checklists, and follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

+ Operate forklifts to move equipment and supplies.

+ Verify correct materials on production lines.

+ Troubleshoot and solve technical issues with machines and systems.

+ Perform changeovers and shut down all packaging machinery.

+ Conduct process quality control checks.

+ Perform inventory and cycle counts.

+ Report maintenance issues to the supervisor.

+ Ensure compliance with HACCP, Cal/OSHA, FSMA, and all safety processes, procedures, and sustainability programs.

+ Follow Safety and OSHA regulations.

+ Engage in continuous improvement and 5S projects.

• Essential Skills
• + 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility with packaging or blending machine experience.

+ Good command of English language skills, both written and oral.

+ Strong attention to detail and adherence to guidelines, policies, or procedures.

+ Experience working in a team environment with professional and positive communication.

+ Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.

+ Ability to work a variety of shifts with a flexible schedule.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + ServSafe Food Handler certification is a plus. + Forklift experience is a plus.

• Work Environment
• The role operates Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6 pm. The work involves heavy lifting, standing, and moving for long periods. Operators must have the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and manually maneuver pallets weighing up to 1500 lbs. The position requires visual acuity and the ability to use hands and fingers for extended periods.

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $22.

00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
