Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Batch Mixing Operator for a contract/temporary opportunity in a chemical manufacturing environment in the Pittsburg/Bay Point, CA area. This role supports safe, accurate, and efficient batch mixing operations, mixer clean-up, vessel clean-up, tooling preparation, and solvent handling activities. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced manufacturing or production operator who is comfortable working in a safety-focused, procedure-driven environment. Operators receive direction from area leadership and designated trainers, with clear expectations, structured procedures, and a team-oriented work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform mixer clean-up, vessel clean-up, tooling installation, and changeover support according to established procedures.
- Support batch mixing operations by preparing tools, completing set-up checklists, and assisting with next-job readiness.
- Retrieve, store, filter, transfer, track, and replenish DBE solvent in accordance with safety and handling requirements.
- Maintain accurate daily records, tracking documentation, and reporting related to clean-up, tooling, and solvent management.
- Follow 5S, visual management, housekeeping, safety, and quality standards throughout the production area.
- Work effectively with supervisors, trainers, and team members to complete assignments within established time frames. Compensation and Benefits
Pay:
$28 to $29 per hour.- Job type: Contract/temporary.
Schedule:
Graveyard shift, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.- Shift rotation: 4 days on, 4 days off.
- Start date provided: 4/22/2026.
Location:
Pittsburg/Bay Point, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills- Support batch mixing operations, clean-up activities, and changeover procedures.
- Manage tooling clean-up, inventory, replenishment, and set-up preparation.
- Handle DBE solvent retrieval, storage, filtering, transfer, replenishment, and performance tracking.
- Complete production documentation, checklists, tracking, and reporting accurately.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant manufacturing, production, chemical processing, hazardous materials handling, or industrial operator experience preferred.
- Must pass Brillium Light Industrial testing prior to submission.
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
- Ability to safely operate production equipment after training and follow written operating procedures.
- Proficient with routine math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to retain training, follow instructions, and work within established time frames.
- Strong oral comprehension, oral communication, and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate one-on-one and in group settings.
- Able to climb 20 or more stairs several times per day.
- Ability to sit, use hands to handle tools or controls, talk, hear, and perform physical tasks required in a production environment.
- Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and reliable performance. Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in chemical manufacturing, batch mixing, solvent handling, clean-room style procedures, or industrial production operations.
- Experience with 5S, visual management, changeover procedures, and manufacturing documentation.
- Familiarity with inventory management, tooling management, and production support activities.
