Pomona, CA Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 6:00 AM•2:30 PM (Open to weekends and overtime)
Pay Range:
$21.00 per hour (DOE) Job Summary Our client, a fast-paced metal manufacturing company in Pomona, CA, is seeking a skilled and dependable Saw Operator to join their production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating a variety of saws, reading blueprints and drawings, and verifying material accuracy to precise specifications. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of saws, including: DoAll TF1822M Two DoAll
DC-330NC
Continental band saws Operate threading machine (Ridgid 1224) Load and unload materials using a forklift Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and cutting charts Measure and verify product dimensions using precision tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.) Ensure accuracy and conformance to material and dimensional specifications Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and quality issues Support production with occasional weekend work and overtime as required Qualifications 1-2 years of industrial saw operating experience (metal fabrication or manufacturing preferred) Able to read blueprints, drawings, and cutting charts Proficient with a tape measure and precision measuring tools (down to 1/16" or better) Knowledge of different metals and material specifications Forklift certification preferred (or ability to become certified) Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety procedures Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced shop environment Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs regularly Stand for extended periods Work in an industrial manufacturing environment with noise and machinery
