Rancho Cucamonga, CA Job Details Temp-to-hire | Full-time $22 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Bilingual Teamwork Machine operation Moving Shop math High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CMC Quilting Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized quilting machines to produce high-quality quilted textiles and garments. Your expertise will help ensure smooth production workflows, maintain product standards, and support the overall efficiency of our manufacturing process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant team dedicated to craftsmanship and excellence. Summary/Objective The Quilter Operator performs tasks involved in the production of Company products as assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Production Supervisor. The Quilter Operator follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible in order to support the production goals. Essential Functions Complies with all department and company safety rules. Follows prescribed safety regulations as it relates to equipment operation and/or lifting techniques. Reads production worksheets to determine the correct pattern, batting, and thread for the completion of quilting. Achieves or exceeds daily production and quality goals. Loads raw materials onto machine, loads thread, threads needles and checks for appropriate thread tension. Removes completed rolls of quilted cloth from the wind-up unit and places on bagging rack or wrapper. Starts new roll of quilted cloth onto wind-up bar without stopping machine. Secures roll ends, weighs, bags, and labels previously finished quilted rolls, scans, and stores on supply rack. Checks width of quilted rolls and visually inspects quilted cloth for defects during wind-up operation. Records weights and widths of batting rolls. Continuously monitors production quality looking for skipped stiches and other potential quality issues. Reports machine problems outside of operator's capability to correct to the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager. Maintains a clean work area and completes daily area clean-up tasks at the end of shift. Properly disposes of trash and scrap at the end of the shift and as often as needed. Notifies Production Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. Other duties as assigned Competencies
  • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and conduct basic mathematics involving weight measurements.
  • Must grip, push, pull, and reach over shoulder level with both hands.
  • While performing duties, operator will regularly be required to stand, walk, stoop, and bend in order to operate equipment.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years experience
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to responsibly use work related equipment and materials
  • Cooperative, team oriented, patient, calm under pressure, and able to work independently
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic math aptitude.

$22.00 per hour
