Job Description
Position Overview The Sizer/Spectrim Operator is responsible for ensuring all grading operations meet Sunkist® quality standards while maximizing grower revenue through the use of electronic grading systems. This role operates a state-of-the-art computerized sizer/grader line, ensuring accurate fruit distribution, proper equipment setup, and efficient production flow. The operator continuously monitors grading performance both at the machine and on the pack floor, making adjustments as needed to maintain grade accuracy and efficiency. This position plays a critical role in maintaining food safety, workplace safety, and overall production quality while supporting communication across production teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Equipment Operation & Production Operate electronic grading and sizing equipment efficiently Perform pre-operational inspections, calibrations, and required checklists Set up pack lines according to production and pack plans Monitor and adjust equipment to maximize efficiency and grading accuracy Ensure proper distribution of fruit to designated outlets Safely start, operate, and shut down machinery Equipment Maintenance Maintain equipment in proper working condition, including: Checking and replacing solenoids as needed Cleaning and maintaining carriers Keeping camera and computer cabinets clean and functional Quality Control & Grading Ensure accurate grading to maximize grower returns: First Grade

- Choice Juice classification Monitor fruit defects by lot and grower Ensure compliance with Sunkist® Quality Criteria Control Standards Food Safety Follow and enforce all food safety policies and procedures Maintain GMP standards and proper labeling practices Prevent cross-contamination through color-coding systems Protect food contact surfaces Complete and submit all required food safety documentation Report any non-conformances immediately Safety Follow all company safety policies and procedures Report accidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions immediately Maintain a clean and organized work area Participate in safety trainings and meetings Communication & Team Coordination Communicate with Plant Manager, supervisors, QC, and grading teams Coordinate with dump operators on dump speeds Work with production teams to maintain efficiency and grading accuracy Participate in safety and food safety meetings Documentation Accurately complete and submit all required reports at the end of each shift Maintain records for grading, food safety, and operational performance Essential Requirements Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) Basic computer skills Ability to read and write in English Ability to lift 5-60 lbs Willingness to work overtime and multiple shifts (1st and 2nd) Ability to work in various departments as needed Strong leadership skills, including: Delegating tasks Directing and disciplining employees Familiarity with systems such as: Kirkey Spokane Prophet Food Safety applications Performance Evaluation Criteria Attendance Production efficiency Accuracy in: Weight Sizing Grade Overall quality
