Responsibilities:

Follow documented procedures for generating assigned production work daily. Load fixtures and make adjustments to processes as needed. Utilize a microscope to inspect parts and identify quality issues. Refer to blueprints to ensure jobs are processed in accordance with specifications. Monitor equipment to ensure it is in proper working order; recommend maintenance and repair. Set up jobs as appropriate. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience as a Machine Operator in a machining or high-tech manufacturing environment preferred. Educational background in light industrial trades and/or in a post-secondary vocational program is a plus. Mechanical aptitude necessary for loading fixtures and making adjustments to processes. Demonstrated ability using Windows-based computers. Ability to follow a number of trust-based policies. Strong work ethic, reliability to report to work every day, and ability to work a full shift and overtime as needed. Flexibility and willingness to work on a variety of jobs depending on business needs. Analytical ability and detail orientation. Background in promoting process improvement.
