Machine Operator I

The Part-Time Machine Operator I, sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and precision in all tasks. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Operate various types of machines to produce parts conforming to print requirements, may include basic program adjustments to meet quality and schedule requirements Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures. Can simultaneously operate two or more machines when practical and necessary. Performs basic daily maintenance or checks for machines.
