Job Description

Seeking an experienced Lead Machine Operator to join our team.
  • 2nd
Shift:
2:00 pm - 10:30 pm with rotating days off

  • Reliable transportation The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and machine operator experience (extrusion processes a plus) and the ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot machinery to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality production.
The Lead will also be responsible for training Operators and material handlers. Responsibilities Set up and operate high-speed extrusion equipment. Troubleshoot and adjust processes to maintain quality and efficiency. Perform equipment changeovers, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs. Train and mentor team members on the setup, operation, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, develop best practices, and drive improvements. Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance. Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the workplace. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in high-speed extrusion operations, preferably with Kreyenborgand/or MAS systems. 2+ years of training and/or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred. Strong working knowledge of extrusion processes. Excellent mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Physical ability to perform all activities on the extrusion equipment. Demonstrated ability to effectively train plant personnel on safe and efficient operation of production equipment. Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical instructions and SOPs. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
