Purpose Statement The General Laborer is responsible for accurately packing and staging gluten-free pizza crusts while ensuring compliance with food safety, allergen control, and quality standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity and supporting efficient production flow in a gluten-free manufacturing environment. Key Accountabilities and Outcomes Wear and maintain all required PPE at all times.
Visually inspect gluten-free pizza crusts for quality and food safety compliance before packing.
Accurately count, stack, and pack crusts into appropriate packaging materials.
Ensure correct labeling and traceability of all packed products.
Stage finished goods for cold storage or shipping according to production schedules.
Follow allergen control procedures specific to gluten-free operations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with GMPs and 6S principles.
Report any product defects, packaging issues, or food safety concerns to the Processing Tech, Group Leader, Team Leader or QA.
Use SAP/RFGen to scan and document product movements as required.
Participate in monthly Alchemy training and maintain compliance with training requirements.
Support Rich's programs such as MLO, TPM, and QDMS by attending meetings and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Assist with end-of-shift sanitation and equipment cleaning as needed.
Other Duties:
This job description is not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support production goals and plant operations. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in food manufacturing. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; Spanish is a plus. Basic math and computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Experience in allergen-sensitive or gluten-free food production is preferred. Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and flexible shifts. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and teamwork.COMPENSATION
