Essential Functions:

This position has shared responsibilities in maintaining this company's SQF food safety and food quality system, complying with any applicable food regulations and striving for continuous improvements in all areas. Inspect and sanitize machine at the start of shift. Taste and check temperature of product. Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Assists in cooking cottage cheese. Sets sour cream. Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor. Keeps a record of lot numbers of cartons, lids, buckets and ingredients. Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as opening valves, setting guides, or clearing away damaged product containers. Inspects filled container and weight to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications. Feeds product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and unloads packaged product. Replenishes packaging supplies such as plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, ink, buckets, or labels. Stages daily production ingredients Places supplies on spindles or other feeding devices. Positions and holds container in machine. Rinse, disassemble, wash, sanitize and reassemble machines, vats, and clean work area. This involves hand scrubbing vats and parts and hooking up tanks for CIP. Stirring or mixing Product with a shovel Keep warehouses organized and clean Keep product rotated properly (First in - First out rule) Dispensing and working with Chemicals in a safe manner. Maintain proper code dates and weights for product Data entry in EMRS, spreadsheets, etc. Other duties as assigned Pay range: $28.41
