2nd Shift Compression Operator Vit-Best Nutrition Tustin, CA Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 12 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Safety equipment provided Qualifications Machine operation Forklift High school diploma or GED Manufacturing standard operating procedures Quality assurance standard operating procedures Micrometer Regulatory/legal compliance standards in production Root cause analysis Safety standard operating procedures Standard operating procedures (SOPs) Full Job Description The Compression Operator is responsible for the operation and set-up of Tablet Press Machine in accordance with company SOPs/ WI (Standard Operating Procedures / Work Instructions) and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations to ensure products meet applicable quality standards. This position includes set-up, operation, cleaning, and light mechanical adjustments. Trouble shoots process issues and, as a team member, analyzes root causes and makes recommendations. Operator must be capable of operating multiple machines at one time and learning to operate a variety of equipment within the manufacturing area.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
: Ensures full compliance with Company policies, procedures, cGMP's and SOP's/WI at all times. Ensures documentation such as operation logs, batch records, etc., are fully completed, signed, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Perform machine cleaning, changeovers, and set up as required while maintaining a clean working environment. Safely operating a forklift and/or stand-up lift truck. Performs all the duties necessary to compress products, which include the setup and use of manufacturing equipment such as, but not limited to Tablet Presses, Dedusters, Metal Detectors, Friabilators, tablet in process Weight Check, Hardness Testers, and Micrometers. Accurately completes required paperwork and documentation, including basic math calculations such as % yield and tare weight.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This includes but not limited to following safety, quality, Standard Operating Procedures, cGMP requirements and work instructions within the department. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum 2 years of compression experience is preferred
