Shift:

2nd Shift — approximately 2:30/3:00 PM-12:00 AM Job Summary We are seeking experienced CNC Laser Operators to join a metal fabrication manufacturing environment in Union City, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating laser cutting equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. This position is responsible for safely operating laser cutting equipment, monitoring production, performing quality inspections, and making basic machine adjustments to ensure parts are produced accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-quality metal components. Set up and adjust machine parameters based on job requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications. Monitor the cutting process to ensure accurate and consistent production. Inspect finished parts to verify dimensions, quality, and specifications. Identify and report quality issues or production concerns. Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to laser cutting equipment. Perform routine machine maintenance as required. Follow established safety procedures and production guidelines. Maintain accurate production documentation as needed. Keep the machine and work area clean, organized, and safe. Work effectively with production and quality teams. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment or similar metal fabrication machinery. Strong understanding of laser cutting equipment and operation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic computer skills. Ability to troubleshoot basic machine and production issues. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently when needed. Bilingual skills are a plus. Preferred Experience Experience in precision sheet metal or metal fabrication. Experience with CNC laser cutting equipment. Familiarity with CAD drawings or CAD software. Experience with machine setup and parameter adjustments. Experience performing quality inspections using basic measuring tools. Experience working in a high-volume or production manufacturing environment. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on, dependable, and detail-oriented machine operator who understands the importance of accuracy and quality in metal fabrication. Candidates should be comfortable operating CNC laser equipment, reading blueprints, monitoring production, and troubleshooting basic machine issues. Experienced Laser Operators and CNC Machine Operators with metal fabrication experience are encouraged to apply.
