Full Job Description Client:
Southland Box Company Position Summary The Knifeman plays a critical role in the corrugating process, serving as the primary operator of the corrugator machine. This position is responsible for monitoring product quality at the beginning, middle, and end of each order, ensuring that all corrugated sheets meet established specifications and quality standards. The Knifeman oversees the full production process and provides direction to operators and crew members to maintain efficiency and consistency. Key Responsibilities Review master orders prior to production and identify any special instructions. Monitor product quality throughout production and ensure output meets specifications. Provide guidance and instruction to operators and crew to correct quality or process issues. Oversee the knife section and report mechanical or operational issues by submitting work orders. Verify order specifications and caliper at the start of each job. Inspect for defects such as warp, misalignment, or other inconsistencies, and make necessary corrections. Adjust machinery as needed to maintain high-quality production standards. Maximize production efficiency while minimizing waste and downtime. Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and GMP requirements. Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by the supervisor. #IND4
