Forming Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking skilled Forming Fabricators to perform processes necessary to efficiently and effectively fabricate detail parts. This role requires working independently and collaboratively to ensure quality, safety, and timely production. Responsibilities Follow all company production, safety, and administrative policies. Review manufacturing plans, engineering data, and setup instructions. Set up and operate machines such as hydraulic shear, chop saw, and forklift. Inspect first parts using gauges, calipers, mylars, and blueprints. Perform 100% inspection of all parts and maintain quality standards. Complete required documentation including part counts, labor cards, and non-conformance reports. Conduct minor machine maintenance and maintain proper alignment. Tear down setups and return tools/equipment to proper locations. Move completed parts to next operation or staging area. Participate in process improvement initiatives and team meetings. Maintain confidentiality and professional communication. Essential Skills Machine operation experience in an industrial environment. Ability to understand manufacturing drawings and blueprints. Experience using measuring tools like calipers and micrometers. Experience setting up and operating machines, with basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills. Work Environment This position is on the 2nd shift, from 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday. You will work in an industrial manufacturing environment focused on producing large airplane parts. Machines are loud, large, and can become hot when running. Personal protective equipment, including ear plugs and glasses, is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Vista, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
