Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of advanced machinery to produce high-quality components and products. Your expertise in machine operation, precision measurement, and manufacturing processes will ensure smooth production flow, safety, and adherence to quality standards. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor various manufacturing machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, and press brake machines to produce parts according to specifications. Program and troubleshoot CNC equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing), and CNC programming techniques to optimize machining processes. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and schematics to ensure precise fabrication and assembly. Perform routine maintenance on machinery, conduct inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment; assist with materials handling, fabrication, and packaging as needed. Maintain accurate production logs, quality control documentation, and shift reports; communicate effectively with team members regarding machine status or issues. Support continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to safety protocols, suggesting process enhancements, and ensuring high standards of quality throughout manufacturing operations. Requirements Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, or similar equipment within a factory or manufacturing facility. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and program CNC equipment using Fanuc controls or similar systems. Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, CAD software like SolidWorks or similar tools for design interpretation. Ability to use hand tools including calipers, micrometers, welding equipment, and tooling for fabrication or assembly tasks. Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred but not mandatory. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise machining tasks. Knowledge of quality control procedures and the use of precision measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met. Prior factory experience in manufacturing environments involving machining, fabrication, packaging or assembly line operations is highly desirable.
