Job Description

The Levy Group of Companies is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to work at our Schmidt Construction, Castle Rock, CO location. The Operator will operate plant and loader to batch materials to produce hot mix asphaltic concrete.
Pay:
$30 - $35

Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Operator will: Control the heating, drying, and mixing of ingredients (such as asphalt, sand, stone, and specified additives) to produce quality asphalt paving materials Enters information, monitors computer panel and provides accurate readings regarding the operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications Adjusting equipment, such as screens and conveyors, to control or vary size of product, or to maintain uniform flow of materials within specification requirements Adjusting equipment, such as screens and conveyors, to control or vary size of product, or to maintain uniform flow of materials within specification requirements Examining machinery for safety & maintenance concerns, identify sources of all malfunctions. Ensure that bins and stockpiles are kept well stocked and prioritized correctly Follows all company Safety Policies Observing environmental factors to ensure that emission control devices operate properly In conjunction with Operations Manager, helps determine personnel and schedules to meet daily customer requirements. In conjunction with Operations Manager, determines appropriate timing for maintenance/ repairs. Discharge appropriate tonnage safely into correct customer trucks Ability to identify and resolve safety and mechanical malfunctions Assisting maintenance personnel with repairs Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have: Experience to safely operate and maintain industrial equipment (Asphalt Plant & Controls, Loader, Skid-steer, Man-lift and other machinery) Ability to follow all Safety and Environmental Procedures Knowledge of asphalt plant equipment, production process, and mix designs are a plus Knowledge of materials and specification requirements Knowledge of basic computer skills Mechanical, welding and fabrication skills Willing to have flexible work schedule Able to work as a team member Strong communication, leadership skills To Apply Please submit your resume.
