Schedule:
4 day work week , Monday through Thursday 7 am to 5 pm.
Primary Production Duties and Responsibilities Summary of Position :
It is the responsibility of the Operations Crew member to execute the efficient and effective manufacturing of Motherlove's line of quality products and to provide support to the Logistics Department. General production duties include measuring, cooking, pouring, packaging, cleaning and cartoning of Motherlove products. General Logistics duties include shipping product per customer orders, restocking sample packs, and keeping the shipping supplies stocked. This role is also responsible for general organization and maintenance in both Production and Logistics Departments. Product Production ➢ Verify components, measurements, and procedures for all manufacturing processes ➢ Accurately measure and dispense components for cooking and brewing of bulk and finished products ➢ Monitor oils and salves throughout the cooking process ➢ Strain bulk oils ➢ Run and monitor machinery in Production room ➢ Inspect containers for blemishes, chips, and abnormalities ➢ Pour salves ➢ Bottle oils and sprays ➢ Carton products ➢ Record processes by accurately filling out lab sheets, component sheets, and equipment logs ➢ Assemble gift boxes Maintenance ➢ Ensure Production room is clean and sanitized prior to operation ➢ Clean and sanitize equipment and dishes ➢ Help troubleshoot machinery in a fast-paced environment ➢ Perform equipment maintenance ➢ Perform line change over and maintenance on Production line ➢ Perform general warehouse duties including cart maintenance and cleaning Miscellaneous ➢ Assist in Logistics & Warehouse as needed Physical Requirements ➢ Must have full mobility and be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time ➢ Able to grasp, manipulate, and inspect product/boxes successfully ➢ Able to load and unload empty packaging, full product, flats, and boxes full of product ➢ Able to digitally manipulate a coffee urn in a rotation for several hours ➢ Able to statically hold a filling piece in a rotation for several hours ➢ Able to apply and thread packaging closures by hand ➢ Able to grasp and pinch in order to load and unload cartons from carton printer ➢ Able to set up, clean, and break down machinery ➢ Able to lift up to 60 pounds ➢ Able to maintain attention to detail in an active environment ➢ Able to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks ➢ Able to work under stressful conditions due to deadlines and time constraints Qualifications ➢ High school diploma or equivalent ➢ Willingness to train on reach truck operation
  • prior operation experience a plus ➢ Must have rudimentary math skills and be good with numbers ➢ Must have good grammar/writing skills and legible handwriting ➢ Must have a mastery of basic computer skills ➢ Must be a team player with a willingness to take on extra tasks as necessary and create/maintain healthy working relationships ➢ Must be organized and able to follow systems and procedures of the department ➢ Knowledge of organic/natural/botanical industry a plus ➢ Prior experience on production equipment a plus
